Alexander accomplished many things, and he named several cities after himself. The most well known is Alexandria, Egypt, which still stands today. It was one of the most prosperous cities of its time. On a much larger scale, Alexander destroyed a MAJOR world power and created a new one from its ashes. Afterwards, multiple kingdoms arose from his quickly collapsed empire. Although Greek culture spread due to his conquest, Alexander adopted a more Persian style of ruling.
